Have you fallen in love with the look of nesting coffee tables but all the good ones cost a fortune? I’ve rounded up a nine amazing 2 and 3 piece nesting table sets ALL under $300. Take a look.

But first, these layered lovelies are not just for eye candy. Nesting tables provide versatility and practicality you can’t find in a typical round or rectangle coffee table.
When I began brainstorming my living room, I wanted a somewhat long coffee table to accommodate both the loveseat and the couch. I’m not sold on end tables for lack of space so I wanted to be to reach the coffee table from both angles. My search for an extra-long coffee table left much to be desired.
But what I did land on was were nesting table that lent themselves to the functionality I needed in a style I could live with.

The first ones I sources were these:
A knock-out combo of wood and metal perfect for my style. I love dark wood and metals combined as you can see here in my dining room makeover.
It comes in other silver and a warm champagne metallic. I wanted the champagne color, but the price difference is quite dramatic. Nothing a little of this fantastic metallic paint couldn’t handle.
I ended up stumbling on these metal textured tables in Home Goods.
(You’ll never guess where they come from originally!)
I paid $175 for 3 tables in Home Goods.

The pieces were priced individually so I broke a set and bought two small tables and a large table to DIY my own configuration.
Nesting Tables are Extremely Versatile
Trouble is, I wasn’t too fond of the black when I got it home. I planned to return them but my husband was sold on the nesting table because nesting tables=super versatile.
Depending on the style you purchase you can configure them however you like. My 10-year old loves the Mickey Mouse layout and my husband prefers them pulled close as a dining table while watching Andy Griffith. Yep. Andy Griffith. I like then pulled close with a cup of tea and my feet propped up.
Nesting Tables move with ease
One of the reasons my husband loved the nesting round tables so much is that they can be moved easily by one person. Our old coffee table situation required two people to lift it out of the way whenever we fired up the Playstation Move. I’m a little OCD about scratching my laminate floors so being able to move the tables out of the way quickly is a huge bonus for us.

Nesting tables are great space savers.
Just as I want the tables long, you can make them short. Slide them in as much or as little as you like.
I could have easily just bought another set online but I was in love with the texture and
Affordable Nesting Table Options
Generally, these bad boys are NOT cheap. I found some amazing sets while shopping, but they were just too pricey for my budget. Not rolling enough to spend $1,200 on a coffee table. One day, but not TOday.
These are my absolute faves. Remember you can always give the metal a different look—just be sold on the shape and style. Think about how you need them to function and go for it.
Glass won’t do for us. Our coffee table needs to be able to take abuse. I’m even glad I went with a metal top versus wood because I don’t have to worry about scratches or drinks sweating.
